Michelle\u2019s singing style has been compared to the likes of Karen Carpenter and Joni Mitchell, and her warm, rich vocals are a unique sound that can be attributed to both her classical formal training (as an alumni of MUN School of Music) and her love of folk and country music.
\n\u201cRoots in the Water\u201d is her latest release. Inspired by her fascinating family tree, it is a concept album of music that will carry the listener on a musical journey from Barbados to Newfoundland, with stories and songs of love and loss that is sure to touch the hearts of listeners and prove to be a worthy addition to our province\u2019s folk music collection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
