Roundelay – There Just Might Be Enough Time
Third full length album from Newfoundland alternative band, Roundelay.

Latest album from Weary (Kate Lahey). The music is moody, effectively sparse, and grabs ahold of your very core. The sentiments are elevated by the rare quality of her soul-soothing vocals. “Bruise” is the kind of song you can love upon first listen, and leave on repeat for a silly-long spin.
Rock Steady is the ninth studio project for Rawlins Cross and one of the most personal, with six original tracks being written by the band.
Rawlins Cross, one of Canada’s most accomplished and beloved Celtic bands, was formed in St. John’s in the late 1980s by songwriting brothers Dave Panting (guitar and mandolin) and Geoff Panting (keyboards and accordion) and Ian McKinnon (highland pipes and tin whistle). Since then, Rawlins Cross has been at the vanguard of the fusion of Celtic traditional music with the rhythms of rock, pop and worldbeat music. Equally at ease with a soulful Highland Air (MacPherson’s Lament) or a raucous party song (Colleen, Reel ‘n’ Roll, Rock Steady), Rawlins Cross never fails to electrify its faithful fans. Over its nearly 30 year run, Rawlins Cross has always been a “fan favourite” on the North American and European concert and festival circuits.

Juno Award–nominee Kellie Loder releases her long-awaited 3rd album, Benefit of the Doubt .
The newest solo recording from Chris Andrews, the leader of the band Shanneyganock. It’s been more than 10 years since the last solo recording and over that time Chris has collected many songs that don’t necessarily fit for Shanneyganock recordings. So Chris has finally decided to record these songs. This record covers songs from all genres of music: folk, pop and country – and are all interpreted by Chris in his own unique style.
New Christmas album from local trad band, Rum Ragged. Sure to get your ‘mistletoes’ tapping this holiday season!
The auspicious debut on CD for Rosemary Lawton. From St. John’s, fiddler/vocalist/ songwriter delights with an offering both rootsy and sophisticated featuring two originals and tasty pieces written by Emile Benoit and Dave Panting.
The arrangement on track two is an artistic and sonic pleasure while Rosemary’s vocal on “The Siren” is courageous and arresting.
Stellar accompaniment is provided by Carole Bestvater, Maria Cherwick, Adam Press, Jason Whelan and Billy Sutton throughout. Astutely produced by Ian Foster. I strongly suggest indulging in this superb listen.
